The
Zumbach range of Rodel Sledges (known as the Z-Series) are
top of the range Swiss wooden sledges - the ultimate marriage
between traditional materials and modern technology to create
a range of competition-winning sledges that are not high-performing,
but also beautiful to look at. The Z-series came about after
close collaboration with famous sledger and designer Erhard
Zumbach in Thun, Switzerland. Produced using the latest
modern techniques, these hand-built sledges are made from
carefully-selected seasones Swiss ass. The Rodel design
allows the user to ride the sledge "Lugge" style and steer
the sledge with the use of the inside of the lower leg and
with weight transference. The Sport and Classic toboggans
are the real pedigrees in the Z-Series range, since they
are not only made from the finest materials, but the wood
is carved into beautiful shapes and profiles to maximize
performance and strength. The Family and Junior models retain
the general style, but in terms of overall quality, they
are more in line with our Davoser and Mountain wooden sldges
